If Lexus made anything easy you wouldn't.  The blade (the silver key part) is molded into the front part of the plastic.
If your key is broken in such a way that the key is loose or the front part of the shell is cracked then you definitely need a new shell and blade.
Don't waste your money on the "repair kits" that others are selling.  Once the blade is removed from the shell the integrity of the whole key is compromised.  It will only be a matter of time before it breaks again!
Once you receive your new shell and blade all you have to do is remove your existing electronics from your old key and put it into the new shell and blade.
